Sunday Night Cocktail Party

Saturday is arrival day, time to get settled. Sunday is the time to meet the staff and fellow guests with whom you will share the next week.

 

Sol de Portillo Race

Held every Thursday, this ski/snowboard race is a fun event for beginners and experts alike. Join in the fun, which culminates with a lively awards ceremony Thursday evening in the Living Room.

 

Torchlight Parade

On Friday nights the Ski School descends from the plateau with blazing torches, culminating in a bonfire at the foot of the hotel. Watch from the Hotel Portillo deck, then join the skiers around the bonfire for hot spiced wine. If you are lucky, you might be invited to join the torchlight descent!

 

Sundeck with Bar Service

On sunny days there is no better place to take a break from skiing than the sundeck just outside the living room. Sit back, soak up the sun, and enjoy the drink of your choice.

 

Cinema/TV Room

Videos are shown in the evenings. Ski school and race videos are shown in the afternoons with critique by Portillo ski instructors. TV is available here when videos are not scheduled. On Sundays, celebrate Catholic Mass here and Ski School Director Mike Rogan's Ski Talks in the afternoon.

 

Fitness Facilities

Weight Room with stair climbers, treadmills, bicycles and Universal equipment, Aerobics/Yoga Salon and Multicourt Gymnasium.

 

Cyber Café and Library

Several computers, a scanner and color printers are available to guests. There is a small fee for Internet access. A collection of current books in many languages is also available.

 

Beauty Center & Spa Facilities

The Beauty Center is set up to meet the hair, nails and make-up needs of guests. The spa experience is complete with sauna, massage facilities and an outdoor heated swimming pool. Aerobics, Yoga and Stretching are offered six days per week.

 

Swimming Pool

One of the most famous pools at any ski resort in the world, the heated outdoor pool at Portillo is an experience to savor. Rarely will you find better friends or more magnificent views from a ski village pool.

 

Game Room and Kid's Bar

This giant room is filled with pool tables, ping pong tables, foosball tables and electronic games. Ice cream, sodas, and candy are for sale. The Game Room fills up with kids all ages every night. Parents know their kids are safe and having fun.

 

Daily Afternoon Kid's Program

The Portillo Entertainment Team entertains younger kids with a hotel tour, bread baking, scavenger hunt, disco dancing, snowman making and other activities. The kids have a blast!
